Your new firm As Account Assistant, you will joining a highly skilled and supportive team. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the preparation of accounts for a range of clients from differing industries as well as experience working with accounts software. This candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or have equivalent experience. Organisational skills and ability to manage your time independently will make you an excellent candidate for this role. Responsibilities: Acting as the first point of contact for customers over the phone, face-to-face and via email on MS Outlook Typing and preparing documents, which include letters for clients, fees, minute keeping, schedules for clients, and emails using MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat for e-signatures Arranging and diarising appointments using digital calendars on MS Outlook and Teams, both internally and externally Photocopying, scanning, and uploading documents to database, Sage Practice Solution. This software is used for new client information Filing information digitally and securely onto Ritsons' shared server Assisting other members of the team with accounting software, Sage Assisting with digital record keeping and databases, knowing how to navigate and understand where to store information Issuing mail and taking it to the post office and cheques to the bank Setting up and maintaining filing Desired skills: An organised, communicative individual who is keen to learn and develop their skills Polite and professional manner Willingness to learn new skills Confident working as part of a team and on own initiative Strong communication and interpersonal skills Some experience with Microsoft Office (this will be included in training) Attention to detail and basic typing abilities would be beneficial (but not essential) Salary: £14,500 per annum Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm Benefits: Onsite parking Further training opportunities in a workplace dedicated to your growth Generous non-contribution pension scheme Future prospects: There are opportunities for progression into different departments, including accountancy.
