Change Recruitment are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant role for the UK division of an international business. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential of going permanent. This role hybrid with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, with its office currently based in Clevedon but they will be moving its offices to Stoke Gifford in Bristol in June 2024. Duties for this role include: Sales Ledger - Raising manual invoices, raising customer statements, cash allocation, debt chasing as required, Direct Debit management Purchase Ledger - Entry and payment of supplier invoices, cashbook and payment posting, supplier statement reconciliations, supplier query resolutions, employee expenses Monthly bank reconciliations Assisting with stock counts and reconciliations and managing inventory adjustments The ideal candidate will have experience working within a finance role and ideally (but not required) experience using SAP and MS Excel. In return this role offers a salary of up to £28k and hybrid working (3 days working from home). We are currently assisting a leading company in the marine industry to find a skilled Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant for maternity cover until the end of April 2025. Responsibilities: Manage outstanding debt from customers, ensuring invoices are sent and/or uploaded to customers' portals. Handle various sales ledger functions, including setting up new accounts and maintaining records in line with company policy. Collaborate with different departments to efficiently resolve queries. Oversee insurance coverage for both UK and international operations. Perform daily bank reconciliation, including posting authorized transactions. Allocate BACS receipts accurately to relevant ledgers. Assist the purchase ledger function as needed, including invoice processing. Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in credit control activities. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently. Prior experience in a busy Accounts department is preferred.
