Your new role Hays Procurement are excited to be working with a recognised manufacturing organisation, looking to recruit an experienced Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Buyer you will form part of a team responsible for successfully processing purchase requests and then ensuring the on-time arrival of material on site. The Buyer will also engage with various other parties (both internal and external) in the supply chain to improve the flow of material, communicating or raising concerns as appropriate.You will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable analysing data and be able to relay and receive information from a variety of sources. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess strong working knowledge of the material purchasing process, from purchase order to product delivery. You will have excellent data analysis and I.T. skills, with SAP / Excel knowledge advantageous. Finally, excellent communication and people skills, with an eye for detail, would be essential. It would be advantageous if you also had experience in monitoring supplier performance using appropriate tools and techniques and looking at international supply chains.
