We have partnered with a global manufacturing company based in Ely who are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and efficient Accounts Payable to be a part of a small Accounts team. You will be responsible for maintaining and administering the Purchase Ledger as well as providing support to the other functions of the Accounts Department. You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to learn new skills and problem solve. Hybrid working is also available. Duties & Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable: Ensure VAT invoices are received for any proforma invoices and electronically filed. Post other outgoings to the Ledger, including credit card purchases, expense claims, direct debits, and petty cash. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve queries by liaising with the suppliers and other members of staff as required. Prepare proposed payment runs and distribute remittance advice to beneficiaries. Assist with month end close, compiling aging reports and investigation of aging transactions, and complete petty cash, credit card and intercompany reconciliations. Other duties as required to assist month end close process, daily transactions, etc. What you will need to succeed as Accounts Payable: Prior experience in an Accounts payable role is highly desired. Intermediary Microsoft Excel skills is a significant advantage. Ability to multitask, time manage and work independently as well as in a team. Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly. Management Accountant Ely (hybrid) We are seeking a Management Accountant to support the wider Finance Team of a large organisation in Ely. This role is crucial in ensuring that all official financial reporting requirements are met, including robust financial diligence and monitoring processes. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of financial processes, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant accounting regulations and delivering value for money. Day to Day of the Role: Support the Head of Finance in ensuring compliance with accounting procedures, including the preparation and monitoring of individual budgets. Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including budgets and financial reporting. Support actual to budget/reforecast analysis for each business unit month end, assisting in gathering detailed information to support variances. Review receivables/payables ledgers for older balances and ensure they are flagged appropriately. Keep accurate records and provide assistance for tax returns. Prepare and respond to queries on the documentation for the recovery of VAT. Suggest systems and process improvements. Assist in monitoring payroll and purchasing within agreed regulations. Support the preparation of documentation for the annual audit and implementation of audit requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in management accounting and financial reporting. Knowledge of accounting procedures and regulations. Ability to prepare financial statements and conduct budget analysis. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and responding to financial queries. Experience in supporting audit processes and implementing audit requirements.
