What will you do? Perform scheduled maintenance and fix issues promptly. Notify the Depot Engineer of any site defects right away. Complete paperwork for planned maintenance on time with the Depot Engineer. Prepare the workspace for more intricate depot maintenance. Use diagnostic methods to find faults in depot systems and parts. Interpret technical drawings, P&ID's, isometrics, and general arrangements. Have a solid grasp of safety protocols and procedures. Review tasks and create safety plans (RAMS) as needed. Work on a rostered "on-call" team and be willing to work overtime on short notice. Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety basics, a good safety record, and maintain high standards of honesty and confidentiality. Where will you be doing it? This safety critical role focuses on tasks being carried out to high standards of safety, to ensure no harm to people or the environment. Mainly working outdoors with some manual handling and occasional confined space work, travel to other sites or for training may be necessary. What will you need? Must have completed a recognised Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent. Familiarity with rotating and static plant equipment such as tanks, pumps, valves, pipework, oil separators, compressors, and piping systems. As part of their production process, they require keen testers to ensure their offerings meet the specified requirements before being taken to market or the customer. This is a vital part of the process, and as such the position holder in this role will have responsibility for ensuring that manufactured products perform their proposed functions. The position holder will be using and testing against various industry standards and investigation techniques and the job holder will be able to evaluate these methods and decipher better solutions to operate within, as needed. Your Roles and Responsibilities: Assembling various items including cables, connectors and test fixtures. Conducting product testing to evaluate products to ensure they meet requirements. Evaluating test methodologies to ensure these are fit for purpose and will support correctly with testing to achieve optimal results. Consolidate test data and product reports from this aimed at assessing the results, identifying actual and potential issues, finding the causes of these and offering solutions based in technical knowledge. Operating both mechanical and electrical testing equipment. Supporting on testing activities for the product team, directly related to customer feedback and process improvements. Designing test boards and PCBs for various product investigations. Following the business requirements for testing and ensuring that latest requirements are always implemented into the processes. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, particularly in testing techniques to ensure the process is optimised and accurate. What you will need to Apply: The ideal candidate for this role will have significant experience in product testing, specifically from within a manufacturing environment. Applicants should also possess relevant Engineering or Electronics based qualifications. Knowledge of quality procedures and quantitative analysis is also sought by the business, alongside a good proficiency within Microsoft Office. Any existing knowledge of production processes, test parameters and standardisations would be beneficial, however the business are happy to teach this and therefore a willingness to learn about these is crucial.
