Day-to-day of the role: Manage and oversee complex manufacturing projects from development to implementation. Work closely with Production Engineering to plan manufacturing processes, estimate resources, and ensure efficient production planning. Bid for new work, manage turnover and headcount in line with company strategies. Forecast capacity and capability, integrating new technologies to enhance production. Provide mentorship and support to less experienced engineers, including conducting appraisals and giving clear instructions. Prepare comprehensive project documentation, manage budgets, adhere to schedules, and maintain high quality and safety standards. Conduct engineering reviews and continuously seek ways to improve processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a Manufacturing or Production Manager role. In-depth knowledge of design, manufacturing, and production procedures, including familiarity with machines, tools, and techniques used in the manufacturing process. Proficiency in 6 Sigma, 5S, and Lean manufacturing techniques. Strong project management skills, with experience using various tools and methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding office for a reputable M&E business. They cover a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, retail, commercial and industrial. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for estimating project costs, managing costs, and analysing electrical contracts. The role will involve developing and implementing electrical solutions for clients in partnership with an experienced and knowledgeable management, technical, and engineering team. The Electrical Estimator will have the following duties and responsibilities: Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard. Strong skills in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from electrical specialists.
