A well respected local firm of Chartered Accountants have an opportunity for an Accounts and Audit Assistant to join their team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a mixed portfolio of clients undertaking accounts and audit services whilst continue to study for professional qualifications in a supportive environment. What will the role involve? Provide accounts and audit services to a varied portfolio of clients; Assisting and advising clients; Working with a team assisting peers and learning from senior members of the team. Suitable Candidate: Experience of working within a firm of Accountants in a similar capacity; ACCA or ACA studier with the desire to continue with both their work-based learning alongside professional qualification with a desire to become a qualified accountant. Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger Clerk Location: Whitely £26-30,000 per annum Small Friendly Team Our client have been established over 40 years in the construction industry, there customer are some of the UK's biggest names in house building. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily accounting and administration processes. Your responsibilities will include managing the sales ledger, invoicing, remittance checking, bank reconciliations, and updating customer accounts. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and excellent attention to detail. You must be able to handle highly confidential and sensitive financial information with the utmost professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Manage the sales ledger and ensure accurate and timely invoicing at the end of each month. Conduct remittance checking and follow up outstanding payments for invoices. Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Update customer accounts with any changes or payments received. Assist with general administration tasks to support the accounting team. Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on accounts receivable and sales ledger management. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proactive mindset and a team player.
