My client located in Wolverhampton is looking to recruit a Head of Operations to join their Team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Warehouse, Manufacturing, and SIOP teams whilst ensuring best practice and operational excellence. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and drive efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance overall operational performance. Oversee the manufacturing processes for Hardware, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with production managers to optimise workflow, minimise downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency. Implement best practices for inventory management and material procurement. Manage the distribution operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment. Optimise logistics and supply chain processes to minimise lead times and reduce costs. Collaborate with the logistics team to enhance transportation and warehousing efficiency. Work closely with other department heads, including finance, human resources, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align operational strategies with overall business objectives. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations and regularly report on performance against these metrics. Analyse data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions. Inclusive approach a must Ensure direct reports have SMART objectives which are regularly reviewed. Coach direct reports on best practices and how to efficiently execute operational plans. Creation of development and succession plans within the team You will need to be: Educated to degree level. Proven experience in a Senior operations role within the manufacturing and distribution industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in operations management.
