Overview: We are seeking an experienced Industrialisation Manager to join our dynamic team in the field of electrical test and installation, specifically focusing on radar systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in lean manufacturing principles and have extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This role will involve overseeing the technical transfer of industrialization processes, ensuring efficient production methods, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Industrialisation Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for the industrialisation of radar systems production, focusing on optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and enhancing product quality. Lean Manufacturing Implementation: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, eliminate waste, and improve overall efficiency. Lead kaizen events and continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES): Leverage MES systems to monitor production performance, track key metrics, and make data-driven decisions to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize MES functionality and integration. Process Optimization: Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with quality standards. New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the industrialisation efforts for new radar system products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production, technical transfer from our sister company and Develop manufacturing plans, process documentation, and training materials for NPI projects. Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to optimize component sourcing, lead times, and quality. Identify opportunities for supplier improvement and implement supplier development initiatives as needed. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing process. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to industrialisation teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Mentor team members and develop talent to support long-term organisational growth. Qualifications: Proven experience in industrialization or manufacturing engineering roles within the electrical/electronics industry, preferably in radar systems or similar high-tech products. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive results. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements for electrical/electronic products. Role Overview: The Manufacturing Quality Technician plays a critical role in an electrical assembly manufacturing company by ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures throughout the production process. Reporting to the Test & Inspection Team Leader with a dotted line to the Quality Manager, this role involves monitoring and inspecting products at various stages of production, identifying defects, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Quality Technician collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control: Conduct inspections and tests on electrical assemblies, mechanical assemblies and components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Perform incoming inspection on components, units and manufactured parts to ensure they conform to all relevant drawings and documentation Perform thorough visual and functional checks on finished products, identifying any defects or non-conformities. Utilize measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and specifications. Record and document inspection results, maintaining accurate quality records and reports. Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes to identify potential quality issues and deviations from established procedures. Collaborate with the production team to implement process controls and corrective actions to prevent quality problems. Conduct periodic audits and checks on production lines to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures. Provide feedback and recommendations to the Production Manager and Quality Manager on process improvements. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: Investigate and analyse product failures, non-conformities, and customer complaints to determine root causes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Maintain documentation of root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness. Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality. Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains to minimize defects and rework. Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Production Manager to develop and implement quality improvement strategies. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in quality management practices. Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to production operators on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect prevention. Support the development and implementation of quality training programs for production personnel. Assist in resolving quality-related issues and answering queries from production teams. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical assembly. Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, inspection methods, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to electrical assembly manufacturing. Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in conducting inspections and documenting findings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts is a plus.

What will you do? Perform scheduled maintenance and fix issues promptly. Notify the Depot Engineer of any site defects right away. Complete paperwork for planned maintenance on time with the Depot Engineer. Prepare the workspace for more intricate depot maintenance. Use diagnostic methods to find faults in depot systems and parts. Interpret technical drawings, P&ID's, isometrics, and general arrangements. Have a solid grasp of safety protocols and procedures. Review tasks and create safety plans (RAMS) as needed. Work on a rostered "on-call" team and be willing to work overtime on short notice. Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety basics, a good safety record, and maintain high standards of honesty and confidentiality. Where will you be doing it? Specialising in fuel storage and distribution, our client is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join one of their small maintenance teams. This safety critical role focuses on tasks being carried out to high standards of safety, to ensure no harm to people or the environment. Mainly working outdoors with some manual handling and occasional confined space work, travel to other sites or for training may be necessary. What will you need? Must have completed a recognised Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent. Familiarity with rotating and static plant equipment such as tanks, pumps, valves, pipework, oil separators, compressors, and piping systems. Must be able to work in confined spaces and medically fit to use Breathing Apparatus. Medical fitness test may be carried out. Full UK driving licence (essential). What will you need to consider?
