Demand Planner/Supply Chain Analyst Northampton Hybrid working £28,000-£34,000 We are proud to be recruiting a Demand Planner for our client who is a specialist distributor and manufacturer of goods. They are looking to bring in some extra firepower to support their upcoming growth! Based near Northampton, the role will be a fast-paced, varied role but with a focus on forecasting future product demands, analyse key data to support planning and report on future trends and forecasts to help support the business. You will work closely with the commercial and sales teams in order report accurately and be able to liaise effectively with external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience with forecasting future demand and come from a similar background. You will be a strong team player and be able to adapt to challenges well, while being able to support wider team members. You will be able to analyse and manipulate data well, while being able to report on this in a concise and informative manner. Experience using Microsoft Navision is advantageous, but a proficiency in IT systems is ideal. The role offers hybrid working and good flexibility to allow you a good work/life balance too. Responsibilities: Working with the commercial teams to develop detailed forecasts at product/SKU level Review sales results against forecast, investigate key drivers. Inform, support and refine the forecast for sharing with the wider teams. Reporting on forecast accuracy, slow moving and discontinued stock position. Works with the Supply chain manager to develop the stock holding and flow strategy. Focus on KPI's, monitoring and improving accuracy of forecast data and monthly stock valuations. Provide data on the inventory analysis in regards to overstocks, weeks cover etc and where the challenges are to the sales team. Manage the S&OP processes and agenda to ensure that data is submitted as per the formats built and key dates are met. Analyse the forecast data and liaise with each sales team on sense checking to ensure the information is as accurate as possible. Analyse stock management across multiple sites. Providing recommendations for stock re location based on forecasts. Ideal experience: Experience as Demand Planner/Demand Executive/Supply Chain Analyst or similar 1-2 years within forecasting product demand and/or demand planning Experience dealing with S&OP advantageous Strong communication skills, written and oral Ability to work cross-functionally IT Proficient, ideally Microsoft Office and Microsoft Navision Good commercial awareness Able to work in a fast-paced environment If this roles sounds of interest, then please apply with your latest CV! You will play a pivotal supporting role in a team that have shown consistent year on year growth. You will be supporting the existing management structure to ensure smooth operation of the warehouse.
