Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Working Hours: 5 Out Of 7 Rolling Rota 08:00 - 17:30 Shifts Available Pay Rate: £30,100 P/a We are looking for a friendly and outgoing individual who is both energetic and enthusiastic, who wants to work within a successful and growing business. Experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working within a team as well as independently. As a Driving Operations Coordinator for Logistics People your role will consist of various duties but not limited to: Controlling a fleet of drivers. Update of all drivers working patterns onto the rota, from new drivers to current drivers. Liaising with the driver's shifts, sickness, holiday requests and overtime. Liaising with the drivers and the clients on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the operation. Liaising with drivers and depots to deal with any issues or complaints that arise. Investigating and reporting any incidents between the depot and the drivers, including updating and maintaining an incident report log. Recording & maintaining all driver records; including legal compliance and driver infringements. To participate in an on-call rota to support the out of hours. Be able to meet with and register new drivers liaising with both the driver and the client to ensure a smooth process from start to finish. Our ideal candidate: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Computer literate with experience with MS Office A "Can-Do" attitude Ability of working within a small team and under minimum supervision. Full driving license is essential with use of own car as travelling will be required. A good understanding of driver's hours and working time directive is desired but not essential as training will be given. We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Team Valley, Gateshead for an Operations Processor. Full 5-year work history vetting and clean CRC (DBS) required before starting. Role Purpose: The Operations Processor is a hands on role, working within the warehouse section of the Service Centre. Working directly with secure, customs cleared shipments, you will be responsible to ensure that all legislative health, safety and security standards are met, highlighting any concerns to supervisors for further investigation/clearance. The post holder is required to ensure that all incoming and outgoing parcels are processed quickly and efficiently with high levels of precision that meets all areas of process quality and compliance within the agreed and sometimes challenging time frames. Demonstrating excellent team work to meet SLAs. Duties include: Process all incoming and outgoing shipments in line with compliance procedures Scan/process shipments in accordance with GSDP checkpoint REF guide Ensure all actions are completed quickly and efficiently. Maintain a high level of attention to detail. Manual lifting of shipments is required. Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality, Security and Environmental compliance standards which also includes the working time directive. A computer system will be required to be used during the pursuit of your duties. Plan and prepare working practices ensuring maximum efficiency. Manage day to day workload and seek support when required. Ensure warehouse is left in a clean and tidy condition after end of shift Adhere to legislation including Health and Safety, Working Time Directive regulations etc. Provide administrative and operational tasks, necessary to ensure the correct functioning of the Service Centre. Adhere to all company procedures. Safety and security: Adhere to country laws and regulations, company and third party rules and standards. Adhere to customs / import / export procedures.
