They are seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their Executive Leadership Team. Your Key Responsibilities: Partner with the CEO: Collaborate effectively with the CEO, focusing on operational delivery and attention to detail. Provide sound business judgment and pragmatic decision-making. Enable the CEO to explore new business opportunities by fully managing day-to-day operations. Operational Management: Oversee all business heads of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, and IT. You do not need to be a subject matter expert you must have helped a business to deliver on its profit targets so knowledge of sales management in particular will be useful. Own the P&L and ensure high-quality management information for decision-making. Convert strategic direction into executable business plans with clear objectives. Drive quarterly business plan reviews and achieve revenue and profit targets. Integrate Business Functions: Implement effective systems and processes without stifling entrepreneurial spirit. Foster a sense of order to enhance efficiency and productivity. Handle internal conflict decisively and ensure unity behind decisions. Lead and Manage People: Establish a culture of accountability with clear individual objectives. Drive performance management and intervene early to keep the business on track. Coach and mentor key individuals, ensuring long-term competency and motivation. Maintain high visibility within the business. Foster a Positive Culture: Inspire and motivate the team, treating people equally and transparently. Recognise and reward great performance, maintaining a positive work environment. Implement staff engagement surveys and act on findings. Who are we looking for? Prior COO/General Manager/Managing Director experience in a similar-sized business or operating unit of a larger organisation. If you have worked in the tech or software industry this would be a bonus but industry experience is not a key factor. The ability to manage all operations that include Sales and Marketing and Finance is key. You don't need to have worked in sales but you do need to know what good looks like as you will be responsible for delivering the P&L via departmental heads. We would like to see demonstrable career growth, positioning this role as a natural next step. We are happy to consider people that have been there and done it as well as rising stars.
