Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping one of the world's leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines recruit a Diesel Engine Application & Installation Engineer, and the hybrid role comes with a umbrella rate of £50.00 per hour. This contract is for 6 months and will require being on site in Peterborough at least 3 times per week. This contract will be considered for renewal. As a Diesel Engine Application & Installation Engineer, you will deliver vertically integrated power solutions for the company's Building & Construction Products Division (BCP). You will support their worldwide product development teams on various equipment types. Job Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for power system selection and completion of projects on time and on cost through close collaboration with machine technical lead engineers Development of effective relationships both internally within the Industrial Power Systems Division and customer teams to ensure an effective partnership is maintained and enhanced. Be a point of contact for all customer technical queries through all stages of NPI. Initial escalation point for customer critical issues, ensuring clear communications are made regarding support needs. Support BCP Voice of the Customer technical requirements gathering to help develop new power system products and drive customer focused product design & development. Support customer collaboration events such as product development workshops Support power system selection and delivery of projects on time & to cost targets. Management of Application & Installation (A&I) requirements with the customer, leading to A&I sign off ahead of machine production start. Required skill and attributes for this role include: Degree Qualified or equivalent practical experience within an engineering discipline. Understanding of engine performance, design, field testing and/or manufacturing. Knowledge of diesel engines, their after-treatment systems and/or machine development is essential. An excellent written and verbal communicator who can interact effectively with colleagues and within the Industrial Power System Division, supporting teams and customers. Ability to plan and drive actions through an organisation. Organised and structured when approaching work tasks and a proven ability to develop and deliver to plans. This full-time Senior Compliance Specialist hybrid role is based in Peterborough and offers an contract rate of £45-£50 per hour. This role is inside IR35. This contract is initially for 12 months and will be considered for renewal. This role will require being on site at least 3 times per week in Peterborough. As a Senior Compliance Specialist you will work closely with the Group's global emissions experts and U.S. based certification & compliance/conformance teams to provide focused regulatory guidance, certification and conformance services Responsibilities will include: Develop a solid understanding of conformance responsibilities associated with worldwide emissions regulations. Lead resolution of complex emissions regulatory compliance issues Champion a strong understanding and proactive engagement of global (emissions) regulatory compliance requirements Lead cross functional improvement initiatives for compliance related business processes. Manage compliance processes for the UK EPRC group and ensure alignment with >7.1 Litre team where appropriate. Ensure robust execution of compliance processes. Ensure robust execution of mandatory and self-audit conformity of production test programmes. Ensure robust execution of the Exempt Engine Management Process (EEM) Prepare and submit conformance reports to governmental agencies. Desirable skills/experience Proven technical capability and some understanding of emissions legislative requirements. Strong knowledge of engines <7.1 Litre Ability to digest complex technical / regulatory issues, distil into clear appropriate guidance and champion / lead to resolution. Strong moral compass. Has a passion for doing things right and to a high standard. Demonstrated ability to instigate and successfully lead change through all layers of the business. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse functional areas, spanning global manufacturing facilities and business centres.
