STUDENT FINANCE OFFICER 3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT, ASAP JARROW, SOUTH SHIELDS BASED PART TIME MON-TUE 9AM TILL 5PM £105 PER DAY JOB PURPOSE To work within a College environment and to assist the Student Finance Co-ordinator in the processing of applications for student financial support. To also provide a frontline service to support students, removing financial barriers and ensuring they receive financial support they are entitled to. KEY TASKS OF ROLE To support the Student Finance Co-ordinator in the processing and assessing of applications for student financial support To award financial support based on eligibility including free school meals, travel and childcare support Promote awareness of the financial support available to staff and students of bursary funds to ensure students are aware of and accessing all support they are entitled to To provide a frontline service within the Student Services Hub to students to support them to access financial support available to them To maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial support funds in accordance with government regulations, audit guidance and college policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE Experience working in Administration. Good telephone manner/general good people skills Experience managing funding/bursaries would be an advantage, but not a must have The ability to work 37 hours a week, and be able to commence work in the next 2 weeks
About the role Sytner Group is looking for a motivated and committed warehouse operative to join our busy parts team at Mercedes Newcastle. You must report nil-picks as soon as they occur You will be required to support all Parts Department stock check activities You will be required to follow all Health & Safety requirements at all times About you Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role related to picking/packing and distribution and be IT literate. Contribute to the development and maintenance of appropriate systems, processes and procedures to meet the needs of customers of the college. Contribute to the achievement of a customer focussed department and provide an appropriate and responsive service to the customers/clients both internal and external. Complete clerical and administrative tasks in line with internal and external policies and procedures. Deal with enquiries from internal and external sources to provide an effective response to students, clients and other stakeholders. Assist in compiling data on a regular or ad hoc basis to assist with the production of information about the college. Prepare documents using a variety of different sources e.g. word-processing, spreadsheets, databases. Receive and prioritise incoming mail. Monitor levels of stock and stationery and report on items in need of replenishment. Communicate effectively with staff, students and external clients. Provide advice and guidance to students when required. Provide administrative support and assistance to managers and academic staff as required Work as a flexible and effective member of the administration team. Attend meetings and take minutes when required. Maintain accurate records both paper-based and manual. Support and contribute to other administrative functions as necessary. To support all CIS function as required and to support Learner Data Services (NCG) with data input as part of Main enrolment. Experience/Qualifications: Evidence of continuous updating of skills and knowledge Training/qualification in IT skills NVQ Level ll or equivalent or significant relevant experience Experience of working in an office environment. Experience of face to face and telephone enquiries. Experience of working in a customer focused role. Experience of using Unit-e & other college IT systems Experience of maintaining and contributing to the development systems, processes and procedures Able to obtain a satisfactory DBS clearance.
