Working in the Council tax Enforcement team I am seeking two experienced Revenues Officers to administer Council Tax accounts and other revenue streams in line legislation.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in Business Rates or similar environment within Revenues, possess a high level knowledge of Business Rates legislation, including the enforcement process.
Able to use Academy Revs & Bens and Enterprise (formally information@work) systems.
To provide an effective people focused income collection service to maximise income and minimise rent arrears of Lewisham Council residents.
Engage proactively with residents, over the phone, visiting them at home or conducting office interviews.
Effectively and proactively, manage a case load of rent accounts, ensuring rental income is maximised whilst supporting residents to sustain their tenancies.
To work under the direction of the Safer Communities Operation Manager in the Safer Communities Service to ensure the effective and efficient running of the licensing service and discharge the Council's statutory duties in respect of a range of licensing functions and to serve the Council, its Committee Members and Officers.
(1) have excellent knowledge of Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and other licensing legislation related to the post.
The service is responsible for administering and enforcing a variety of licensing registrations and permit regimes, including those related to alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshments; gambling premises and lotteries; animal establishments, scrap metal and marriages.
