To provide a specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment, intervention and advice service for children with a variety of learning and physical disabilities, associated sensory and communication difficulties.
This may include working within the Child Development Centres, mainstream and special schools, nurseries and play groups, families' homes and visits to other services such as the wheelchair clinic.

This is a band 6 position working with children in a variety of settings
Undertaking occupational therapy assessments leading to the identification of the service users needs whilst addressing occupational performance.
Band 5 Occupational Therapist - Mental Health
In addition to planning and implementing individual and group evidence-based interventions, in collaboration with the service users and staff, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
Working as part of the Therapy Team you will provide guidance, active support, plans and coaching to the teams across division supporting individuals with behaviour that challenges and supporting individuals who are impacted by a learning disability, autism, acquired brain injury and/ or other mental health challenges.
Summary of Role
As Practitioner PBS, you have the overall responsibility for the delivery of effective PBS assessments and interventions, at both an individual and service level, within the adult and specialist services.
Within your remit, you are expected to ensure you deliver PBS interventions focused on excellent person centred care, where applicable evidence based clinical care, & ensuring that high quality service user outcomes are achieved.
