And right now, we're looking for a Construction Team Leader (Project Assurance). Based at our Capenhurst site location you'll provide group projects with an internal construction management assurance function. This role will carry out internal audits and hold periodic construction stage gates to ensure the project is at the correct readiness level prior to commencing construction. This will support the global construction team and will require interaction with each site. This role ensures the project can commence into construction at the correct level to allow Urenco to safely delivery, co-ordination and high quality of all construction work. The position will provide adequate resources to carry out this function across the UUK, UD, UNL & UUSA. What will your day look like? Actively promote a pro-active safety culture throughout the local construction team, lead by example and be an excellent role model. Provide adequate resources to carry out internal audits across the global portfolio. Develop a high performing team that strives for safety, delivery, and quality. Ensure every project holds a pre-construction stage gate to ensure the project is at an appropriate maturity prior to commencing into Construction. Conduct project readiness & constructability reviews at the relevant stages. Aid the project Manager and Construction Manager in setting up adequate construction arrangements at the start of the project life cycle. What do you need to be great at this role? Obtained or working towards NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (or Equivalent) Engineering and or project management post graduate qualification or membership of an appropriate professional body HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification. Demonstrable experience across the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over Site and construction safety legislation safeguards and practice (CDM, CSCS, TBNNBS(ideally) & NEBOSH), security protocols, health and environmental legislation and good practice Knowledge of the Urenco business, both from a technical and business perspective, Relevant international and national legislation and regulatory philosophies, practice, requirements and guidance Experience of working as a Principal Contractor Experience of managing complex contractual relationships including the provision of free-issue materials, technology, or IP, able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing construction within this context. Demonstrable ability in building teams of highly performing professionals, communicating strategy and building a team. Extensive knowledge of the EPC contractor, major EP and Construction supply markets and will have gained insights into their relative strengths and weaknesses and ability to leverage relationships with key members of supplier's leadership teams to Urenco's advantage.
