The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in all aspects of residential property law, including conveyancing, leasehold matters, and property transactions. Additionally, they will possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a team of solicitors and support staff. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the residential property department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients. Oversee all aspects of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and mortgages. Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on complex residential property matters. Manage a team of solicitors and support staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive growth and enhance client satisfaction. Stay abreast of changes in residential property law and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. They are currently looking for a Compliance SME to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity. Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to come in and support the Head of Ethics & Compliance and provide flexible compliance SME support: Key Accountabilities: On the development of standards and controls across the 1st and 2nd line of defence On provision of compliance advice and responding to ad-hoc / complex business advice questions as required. In documenting and executing the Compliance risk assessment across all business units The Compliance COO team to develop internal compliance processes and procedures. Ad-hoc project and tasks requiring SME support. Key Skills & Technical Knowhow: Solid experience within commodities industry, including physical commodities. Desirable for individual to have had exposure to energy sector. Strong knowledge of MAR and REMIT, plus EMIR and/ or MIFID2 Understanding of reliance on exemptions from respective regulations and applicability across different jurisdictions. Specifically, UK & EU. Experience in drafting policy regulations. Location: This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients Windsor office at least 3 days a week.
