Warehouse Operative/FLT Job role summary: This warehouse and logistics position is key to organising the storage and distribution of goods to customers across the globe. In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time. You will also be involved in stock control, warehousing and kitting. Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week 8:30-17:00. Key Responsibilities: Goods Inwards Inspection Checking quantities and quality of items received against Purchase Orders. Add Goods Receipts to Access Supply Chain - ERP system. Notifying of shortages & damages promptly to Purchasing team. Warehouse Responsibilities Ensure goods are stored and recorded correctly within the warehouse locations update Access Supply Chain. Ensure all goods are stored safely and easily available within the warehouse locations. Prepare kitting for the production team as required or as the Production Supervisor requests. Notify the purchasing team about shortages and low stock levels as stock is consumed by the production team. It is critical to assist the purchasing team to prevent unnecessary production delays. Stock cycle counts. Maintain good housekeeping at all times. Maintain Health & Safety Standards it is your responsibility to ensure anyone in the warehouse environment is wearing correct PPE. Due to the nature of the warehouse you will ensure safe working practices are followed within the warehouse and report unsafe acts. Shipments to customers Packing cartons for new and service items following QC processes and the standard expected. Ensure all cartons are correctly labelled. Addressing cartons correctly. Packing pallets. Confirming shipping details to internal Sales Admin team. Including all weights, dims, number of cartons etc. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Competent use of forklift trucks with valid counterbalance licence. Operation of manual handling equipment. Good numeracy and literacy skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, Word. Good communication skills. Ability to work well within a team. Attention to detail. Previous experience of ERP systems advantageous.
