Start Date: Asap I am currently working with a lovely client who needs three compassionate and kind support workers to care for four young people, each with different needs and backgrounds. These young people have experienced trauma in the past and require additional support. We need a team of three for night shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am for sleeping nights, one to two nights per week or month. You will receive your shifts one month in advance. As a support worker, you will be responsible for basic parenting duties and much more. Your duties will include building trust and ensuring the safety of the children, adapting parenting styles to suit each young person, maintaining household routines and boundaries, and occasionally communicating with other professionals such as social workers, clinic teams, and school/education providers. Essential requirements Must hold a valid DBS or be registered on the updated service Must have a caring attitude towards service users. It is advantageous to have previous experience in a similar setting, although this is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. The worst-case scenario for a shift worker would be if one of the children did not come home from school, in which case they would inform the duty officer.
