Systems Engineer/Network Systems Engineer Job Type: Full-time Location: Redhill - predominantly on site role Salary: up to £50,000 per annum Exciting opportunity a Systems Engineer to join a global Telecommunications organisation in a established Network/Systems team. The role involves designing, maintaining and configuring systems as well as working a range of projects, liaising with the projects office, testing new equipment, and delivering projects in accordance with specifications. This is a rare opportunity to join a market leader in their field working on a wide range of telecommunication and network systems, as well as being involved with a number of different clients and projects. Day to Day of the role: Provide design and configuration for projects. Liaise with the projects office to ensure timely delivery of assigned work. Test and evaluate new equipment as directed. Ensure all technical documentation and drawings are provided and accurate. Visit customer sites in support of projects when required. Define IP structures for new projects and provide guidance to teams. Define equipment lists and specifications for the projects office. Verify new software builds meet test criteria and efficiency. Support customer meetings to understand and enhance future projects. Participate in the Duty MoD/Gov engineer rota and support structure. Contribute to new technical proposals and provide training on new systems. Liaise with partnered agencies for any trials and maintain flexibility for customer needs. Undertake tasks as detailed in the company's security document. Required Skills & Qualifications: Ability to achieve DV Security Clearance. Broad ICT and Satellite communications experience highly desirable. Professional registration is desirable. Cisco CCNA, Juniper, or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and time management skills. Proven administration skills and a flexible, proactive approach. Minimum degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Engineering degree preferred. Role: Network Engineer Location: UK Wide Salary: £50,000 Job Overview: We are seeking a Network Engineer to ensure effective and resilient support for our clients Critical Systems, both during and outside office hours, without disrupting day-to-day IT tasks (BAU) and digital project workloads. This role has become available due to internal promotion, aiming to foster a proactive culture of continuous improvement and resilience within the team. As a member of the Trust's infrastructure team, the Networks Engineer will serve as a senior authority on the network (WAN and LAN), reporting to the Delivery Assurance Officer. You will be accountable for maintaining and managing the existing network solution and all future developments. Main Duties: The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Cisco network environment at a senior level, with experience in Palo Alto or Aruba equipment being highly advantageous. Technical abilities will be evaluated during the interview process, and relevant experience should be detailed in the application. Collaborating with the Delivery Assurance Officer, you will maintain network systems that align with our evolving digital landscape. This involves assessing business requirements across the Trust and recommending solutions that meet current needs while future-proofing design and staying informed about technology developments and the Trust's strategic direction. You will ensure that network telecommunications design prioritizes resilience, reliability, and sustainability. Additionally, you will produce, maintain, and control comprehensive system design and configuration documentation throughout the solution's lifecycle.
