The role of IT Network Engineer is to support and maintain service capability of the Trust's IT network infrastructure, specifically in the area of Networking, Switching, Routing, Wireless, Switch Cabinets, Firewalls, Cabling, WAN Links, ADSL, Network Performance, Security and Resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Network Infrastructure Manager in the delivery of IT network services strategy to the published service level agreement.
Investigate technically complex IT issues (incidents) raised to the service desk and escalated by the second/third line support resources.
We are looking for someone who has experience working on a support desk, taking calls from users and recording issues, dealing with low level queries such as password re-sets and then escalating matters to the relevant teams.
Technical skills covering O365, Windows 10/11 and Active Directory with any knowledge of networking, firewalls and security a real advantage.
Working as part of team who act as the first point of contact for all issues, raising tickets and seeing through to close.
3 Month contract, technical skills covering O365, Windows 10/11 and Azure with any knowledge of networking, firewalls and security a real advantage.
The team also deal with setting up and onboarding new users, supporting them with IT issues as well as ordering new equipment from suppliers and configuring to company specifications.
