They are seeking an additional FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER to join their fare collection team looking after their customers in the Manchester area. You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of fare collection systems in various locations across the region. The role will involve working with a variety of different customers from many different sectors so your customer service skills will be as important as your technical expertise. The repairs involve electro/mechanical fault finding as well as some low level network configuration. In order to be considered you will need to demonstrate: A strong background within Engineering, in a field based role maintaining and repairing electrical & mechanical equipment. This role is based in Belfast and will involve leading a team of engineers with the successful IT deployment Project. Working as part a small team responsible for deploying IT equipment and then supporting this equipment to a large public sector client in NI, this role will be a Lead Engineer to ensure Desktop deployments are carried out in line with clearly defined instructions and requirements. Responsibilities Procure, configure and install new hardware such as Desktops , laptops , IPAD's , Printers, Chromebooks and iPhones. Provide end user training on using the new equipment and ensure they are comfortable with all its functionalities. Work with managerial staff to implement Business Continuity Plans for IT . To ensure critical systems are accessible following an incident such as an electricity outage. Use encryption methods such as bitlocker to protect any sensitive patient information. Lease with Third party suppliers such as HSL (Hospital services limited) to plan , configure and deploy medical devices , Encompass display boards and Computers on wheels. Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware and software- related issues reported by healthcare staff, providing timely support and solutions. Partake in weekly meetings with the Encompass team to provide updates on IT Deployment Essential Criteria Team lead experience Experience in computer hardware and various windows operating systems Experience in a customer facing role preferably gained on a customer site Able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team & follow processes and documentation Good interpersonal and communication skills Experience in troubleshooting issues as they arise and working to an appropriate resolution. Full clean driving licence and access to suitable vehicle Desirable Criteria Windows 7/10 experience in a support environment Experience in working on large project rollouts Knowledge or experience of networks in a computer environment Relevant security clearance, AccessNI will be required for the successful candidates.
