To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our team at our our Head Office location (LE67 6HS). This role is offered on an FTC of 12 months to cover maternity leave within our People Team. As our Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for: Processing UK payroll of 3,000 colleagues as part of a team of 3 Specialists Timely and compliant payroll reporting as and when required ensuring all corporate policies, governance and controls are properly administered and adhered to Providing advice and support to employees on all matters relating to pay by both telephone and email working to agreed SLAs to deliver exceptional customer service Administering processes used for starters, leaver, salary changes and permanent data adjustments Processing and modifications to wages, deductions and payroll taxes Processing electronic payments to employees (BACS), HMRC and other 3rd party vendors Entry of payroll overrides and salary adjustments. Processing of Tax Month/Year End (including all GL reconciling with FBP's) Processing Start of Year Update testing and sign-off with HR Systems Lead Processing Tax Month and Year End Payrolling all non-cash benefits (taxing at source) Remain up to date with new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll In order to be successful as our Payroll Specialist, we would ideally like you to be/have: Qualifications CIPP qualified or equivalent An understanding of payroll processes utilised in end to end life cycle Ability to demonstrate an understanding of UK Payroll and HR legislation and be able to advise where required Experience working within a Payroll environment with demonstrable experience of setting up and running efficient, end to end processes Strong organisational and planning skills, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of Zellis/Resourcelink software would be advantageous in this role, but is not essential. Think you can make a difference? WE ARE your future.
