CrossReach Children's Disability Services, have been providing care and support for children & young people with a wide range of disabilities and additional support needs for 30 years. Helping them enjoy time away from home, where they can have independence, make friends, learn and grow and we are now looking for a Senior Children's Worker to join our team to develop and grow our services and to help us make a change to the lives of those we support.The Mallard is our residential short breaks service, and it enables children & young people to enjoy time away from home, taking part in a range of activities, making friends and developing their independence. Through a popcorn & movie night with a familiar film, playing a favourite game in the garden, or by providing the right sensory environment, our team works in partnership with families to create a home away from home experience based on the needs of the young person.As Senior Children's Worker, you will take a lead role with the team to provide care and support appropriate to the needs of the individual child or young person, planning and implementing activities to meet the individual needs and aspirations of the young people we support. This is a role where you will see the benefits of what you do and what you can bring every day. This is a temporary role until the December 2024, at which point it will be reviewed.
