Nursery Manager Job Overview: As a Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of young minds. You'll lead a dedicated team, fostering children's development in inspiring environments. Your passion for early childhood education and exceptional leadership skills will be essential in creating a nurturing and enriching experience for both children and staff. Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a highly motivated and professional team. To ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times. Create a positive and inclusive work environment. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies and procedures, including child protection issues and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies. Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies. Childcare and Education: Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum, taking responsibility for the planning to ensure each child is working towards the early learning goals. To organise and participate in the key person system. Foster a love for learning through creative and engaging activities. Promote a safe and stimulating environment. Staff Development: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff. Conduct staff appraisals and address any concerns/staff training needs. Encourage continuous professional development. Parent and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and families. Organize parent meetings, events, and workshops. Collaborate with local community resources. Financial Management: To support with the management of budgets, resources, and financial planning. Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications: Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Experience in a leadership role within an early-years setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Passion for child development and education. Additional Information: Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (NE15) Salary: Com£14-£15 per hour based on experience. Hours: Full-time position 40 hours per week across 5 days.
