Think Accountancy & Finance are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of an established business in Chesham for maternity cover. The role requires a start as soon as possible to allow time for an adequate handover. Duration is approximately 9-12 months, transparency on an end date will be given. Having visited the business this morning, it was clear from the second of arrival what a small but friendly team you will be joining. The current incumbent is a key person within the team as their role requires support from sales, operations, and management. This position requires someone who is good at building strong working relationships and is able to manage a varying work load. The company have a bespoke accountancy software which is incredibly user friendly which full training will be provided for. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be fully responsible for all the company's invoicing, reconciliations and assisting with month end. This is not a progressive opportunity and requires someone with strong experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant role. This role is fully office based. 9am - 5:30pm. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Receivable Processing invoices Bank reconciliations. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure payments are up to date Maintain files and liaise with vendors as needed, resolving queries Maintain client credit control Assist with month-end closing Assist with stock adjustments Liasing with other departments General administration Requirements AAT Desirable Strong Excel Attention to detail Good at building relationships Stock experience would be beneficial Think Accountancy and Finance is the finance division of Think Specialist Recruitment, an independent recruitment agency based in Hemel Hempstead and working across the Herts, Beds and Bucks area.
