The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and building boxes and packing cases for export projects under the guidance of the Logistics Coordinator. This role involves ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations by accurately applying required symbols using indelible paint. Responsibilities: Construct and build boxes and packing cases for export projects supplied by the Logistics Coordinator. Apply international symbols on export cases using indelible paint, adhering to regulatory standards. Weigh all items prior to packing and record details in the Weight Register. Re-weigh all items after packing, record weights and dimensions on relevant works orders, and communicate them to the Despatch office for further action. Calculate quotes based on drawings for estimated weights and dimensions. Pack all goods for export according to required specifications. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work area, especially at the end of each workday. Operate hand-held air tools and electric saws safely and efficiently. Fulfill any other duties as requested by the Logistics Coordinator or Operations Manager. The ideal candidate: Previous experience in packing and exporting goods preferred. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in operating hand-held air tools and electric saws. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
