We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. By joining us you will become one of the family' and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect: £12.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications Part time 24 hours a week Night shifts from 8pm - 8am, Monday - Sunday. You must be able to work alternate weekends. About the role: As a Care Assistant you will be assisting with mealtimes, personal care and completing current and appropriate documentation which includes daily record keeping, charts and care plans. You will be engaging in meaningful activities with the people living in our care home as well as always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect. Your new company You will be working for a children's care company that has a real family feel. The company has been established for 20 years and has two beautiful properties that centre all of their principles on what is best for the children. Your new role As a support worker in a 6 bed home for EBD children every day is a challenge. You are an integral part of the team offering safety, comfort and mentorship to children at a very turbulent time in their life. This is a time consuming role that requires you to work with the children to change their unhealthy internalised thought process. You will also have a lot of fun with the young people in your care, supporting on activities such as the Iron man challenge and prison break. Shifts run on a 5 days on and 5 days off pattern with an average of 2 sleeps in each 5 day block. Weekday shift times: 8am to 10pm Weekend shift times: 8am to 11pm Sleeps are paid at £40 per night and there is a full staff flat with 4 sperate bedrooms to accommodate you. There is also the option of sleeping every night you are on shift if that is preferable. What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will have some experience working within the children's care sector but this does not have to be within residential children's care.
