Service Engineer HQ Based Worcestershire Up to £40000 - £45,000 company vehicle SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer/ Technician to work for our client who are a world leader in their industry, they specialize in racking systems for storage. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with extensive travel throughout the UK including overnight stays. The role will involve several opportunities to travel to Europe visiting customer sites and head office. The service engineer's role is varied but in the main is responsible for the following key areas: - Tests of shuttle systems & mobile racks. - Repairs of shuttle systems & mobile racks. - Supervision of assembly teams for large repairs of mobile racks. - Commissioning and providing customer training for automated systems. - Preventive maintenance (triggered by service contracts). The ideal candidate will be an experienced electromechanical engineer, ideally degree educated in an appropriate discipline, alternatively an equivalent level of competency gained from experience in the field. Interaction with our client's customers is a key part of the role and as such the ideal candidate should have strong communication skills as well as have strong IT skills and be familiar with using MS Office programmes, particularly Excel. You have a bachelor's degree or vocational qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience. Computer skills: MS Office and Teams You are sociable, eager to learn and drive with strong customer mindset. Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware, robotics and mechanics 60-70% travel is required with this role A basic knowledge of welding is also valuable, if not, a willingness to learn. Field Service Engineer This position is responsible for providing onsite service and support to customers. The postholder will act as a mobile field service engineer on assigned open tickets to resolve customer affecting technical issues and preventative maintenance in a timely fashion, to maintain maximum customer satisfaction. This role provides break-fix support 5 days a week between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Preventative maintenance, including inspection of Automated Parcel Machines (APMs) for visible damage/deficiencies, repair of broken protective wires on locker doors, checking camera and digital video recorder state and replacing/adjusting if needed etc. Cleaning APMs. Transporting hardware to and from customer locations as directed by assigned tickets. Working in collaboration with the helpdesk and clients to resolve tickets as required. Assisting in the design and build of tools and equipment. Assisting with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment. Practicing and always complying with safety standards. Resolving systemic issues providing short, medium, and long-term solutions. Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems. This is a great opportunity for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our client on their expanding mobile contract. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to cover commercial properties within the M25 & surrounding Areas. As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, You will be following a fixed schedule of Monday - Friday, (8AM - 5PM) undergoing PPM and Reactive Maintenance, responding to emergencies and building relationships with clients. In return you will receive a package including a van, fuel card, door to door travel expenses provided, internal progression and additional training. To be successful in this role, you will need the relevant qualifications in either electrical or mechanical engineering, (City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent) at least 3 years experience prior within commercial maintenance and posses a great attitude.
