Hunter AHP Resourcing have an amazing locum opportunity for a Band 6 Pharmacist to join an NHS hospital service in Southampton. Our client is currently seeking a Band 6 Pharmacist to join their outpatients team on an immediate basis, working 5 days per week, for at least 3-6 months. The clinical duties will be solely outpatient dispensary based - hospital experience is desired but not mandatory so please get in touch if you are looking to get into the NHS as this is the role for you! This locum role is due to start immediately, with a working pattern of Monday Friday, 5 days per week, 9am5pm with 30 minutes for lunch. The contract length of this role will be for at least 3-6 months, with a high likelihood for this to extend. There may possibly be the option to take on a permanent position at the end of the contract here for the right applicant. The service is based in May 2024 with accessible public transport links, such as a train station near to the hospital with a short walk to the bus station, where frequent bus services run to and from the hospital. Their is also parking available close by with a discounted price for hospital workers. The hourly rate for this role is £12.69 and up to £14.05 across selected locations within London. The importance of your role. Delivering efficient dispensary operations and ensuring dispensing losses are minimised. What you'll need to have. To work within our dispensaries, you also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. However, if you have not previously completed this, we'll support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us. If you are interested in further developing your professional career, we can support you towards achieving both competency and knowledge based NVQ Level 3 (QCF) qualification in Pharmacy Services to become eligible to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician. This could then lead to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
