This role provides a unique hybrid working arrangement, with three days remote (Monday, Thursday, Friday) and two days in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday), alongside a competitive salary of £29,000 per annum. For the right candidate, this role offers a temporary-to-permanent transition. Role Overview: As an Inventory Planner, you will manage a diverse portfolio of around 5,000 SKUs from 50 suppliers. Leveraging purchase order management tools and reports, you will make informed purchasing decisions to maintain optimal stock levels that meet customer demands. Role Purpose: The Inventory Planner will play a pivotal role in managing supplier stock within distribution centres, ensuring stock availability targets are met while optimising budget allocation. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Branch Inventory Planners, Supply Chain colleagues, and Commercial teams to ensure efficient stock management and budget adherence. Build and nurture relationships with suppliers to deliver exceptional service to branches. Analyse data trends and utilise forecasting techniques to drive effective inventory planning. Utilise warehouse management systems to manage stock and streamline operational processes. Duties Include: Maintaining accurate forecasts and safety stock levels. Resolving supplier delivery challenges to enhance availability. Monitoring stock budgets and recommending strategies to optimise stock performance. Updating system parameters for streamlined ordering and delivery processes. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience in Product Supply and stock management forecasting. Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills. Confidence in running meetings and collaborating across different levels of the organisation. Experience using warehouse management systems, preferably Kerridge(KA) Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
