We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Mentor to join our team at a special educational needs (SEN) school in Oldham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning disabilities.
Engage Education are working with a challenging and rewarding SEN Secondary School in Wakefield to recruit various Youth Engagement Mentors
Applications for the position of Youth Engagement Mentor are welcome from candidates with a range of experience and various backgrounds (social work, sports coaching, education etc.)
Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour is a highly advantageous.
As a tutor/mentor you would be required to offer support to the student from a couple of hours to multiple sessions a week and be required to complete weekly feedback forms on the student's progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.
We are looking for dedicated tutors to work 1-2-1 with CLA (Children Looked After).
These sessions can take place in schools, care homes, foster homes, libraries etc.
