Support Worker - Homeless LOCATIONS: Reading SALARY: £12.28 Basic DURATION: Monthly Rolling Contract HOURS: Up to 40 hours per week ( Early: 8.00am 4.30pm Late: 1pm -9.30pm) Daily Duties Work with Support Workers to empower individuals to move on and break the cycle of homelessness. Provide assistance with the delivery of support to clients by working as part of the support team to ensure clients have access to support when attending all housing and non-housing appointments, assisting in the completion of forms and applying for appropriate benefits. Assist in the delivery of a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes. Assist the support team with sourcing and facilitating planned move on options for clients where appropriate; in preparing case reports and statistical records. Undertake client welfare checks as directed. Oversee all administration tasks and reception duties. Get to know and build the trust of the service users. Help service users to live independently. Encourage participation in social and leisure programmes. Support service users with the practicalities of everyday living.
