MSI Recruitment are recruiting for a Staff Nurse to work at a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition. What you'll be doing: Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients / residents Assessment of care and health education needs Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient Under supervision, to gain experience and skills in: Clinical practice Facilitation and teaching Management (as appropriate) To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance review. To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period. Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week. Where you will be working Location: Ballington Gardens, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 5LW You will be working at Ballington House, a 13 bedded mental health rehabilitation hospital that provides services for women with complex mental health needs. The environment at Ballington House offers a pathway from admission to discharge and for those that require more in-depth rehabilitation a two bedroom is available as part of this journey. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support women who often have complex mental health and co-morbid conditions.
