Principal Location: Northamptonshire Job Type: Full-time Start Date: September 2024 or January 2025 We are in partnership with an academies trust in Northamptonshire to appoint a Principal for a secondary school rated "good" by Ofsted. This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of school improvement and the ability to inspire a learning community. Main Areas of Responsibility: Provide leadership and management to secure high-quality teaching and learning, raising standards of achievement. Foster a positive ethos that reflects the Academy's commitment to high achievement, effective teaching and learning, and good relationships. Build confidence in the leadership and management among staff, governors, and parents. Ensure staff and governors recognise their accountability and contribute fully to policy development and implementation. Promote students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development effectively, preparing them for adult life. Maintain rigorous review processes and establish links with the wider community to contribute to students' attainment and personal development. Make efficient and effective use of staff, accommodation, and resources, ensuring finance and administration support educational outcomes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status, Degree, and further relevant professional studies. Relevant Further Degree or NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) is desirable. Thorough knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments and student learning strategies. Experience in leadership of curriculum development, monitoring, and evaluation strategies. Proven track record of raising attainment in an urban, multi-ethnic environment. Demonstrable success in raising standards in English and Mathematics, with good knowledge of Literacy and Numeracy improvement strategies.
