As a Designer, you will be responsible for producing commercial designs to be used for printed, woven and embroidered bedding, curtains, and cushions for my clients own brand and external customers. Description Creating exciting artwork to internal and external briefs. Analysing the customer and competitors to spot design and colour gaps within the range. Identifying seasonal trends and concepts for internal discussion and to be able to develop into final artwork. Confident in presenting ideas to the customer and to design team members. Designing to customer specifications and briefs. Texture mapping product for presentations. Preparing designs for colouring and printing, ensuring they are in repeat, and colour reduced. Producing layouts and briefs for suppliers for the instruction of sampling. Managing the development of samples from supplier to customer. Liaising with the customer through the design selection process Logging and organising of quality samples for development. Archiving and cataloguing completed designs using Daminion software. Profile Design Degree in Printed Textiles and ideally with homeware experience. Good drawing skills. Knowledge of Ned Graphics or AVA, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Be able to work as a team and using own initiative. Experience in soft furnishing textile design. Ability to organise a busy workload and work to deadlines. Excellent communication skills. As a key member of the Branch Merchandising team, you will work collaboratively with the Merchandising teams to drive the overall store performance of stores whilst managing stock flow and capacities. You will provide a focus on store profiles, sharing this knowledge with the teams to strategically drive optimum stock placement in stores. They are looking to grow their Merchandising team as there are going through a period of growth.
