Role Overview The Commercial Research Marketing Executive sits within the Commercial Marketing team. The team are friendly, driven and innovative, and work across multiple projects and campaigns at once. This role is suited to an individual who is commercially astute and passionate about marketing as a discipline, and the value that it can deliver for a business. The role will be key in supporting the Commercial Research team to produce and deliver reports and outputs, and provides a real opportunity to own and deliver marketing projects with the support of the Commercial Marketing Directors and Managers. The role is suited to an individual who is at the beginning of their career and is looking for their next opportunity in marketing. The role will gain experience in all things commercial and content marketing including writing briefs, creating content in multiple formats whether that's videos, magazines, publications or articles, and learning how to best distribute these through various marketing channels. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Manage the scheduling of all Commercial Research reports and outputs across multiple business departments. Own the Commercial Research content calendar and ensure projects run to time. Work with the Head of B2B Marketing and Commercial Marketing Managers to understand the business's requirements across the divisions, and ensure Commercial Research deliverables align to these. Lead on the timely production of Commercial Research publications in both print and digital formats. Write briefs and lead on timelines with the internal creative services team, external agencies and designers to ensure that the right brief is delivered and content is produced and published to the best standards. Proof-read all Commercial Research outputs and work with the digital marketing team and external freelancers to upload reports and content to the website. Work closely with the divisional marketing team leads and the relevant centres of excellence (e.g. social media, digital marketing, regional marketing, brand and insights) to effectively communicate and engage with the desired target audiences. Prepare presentations for the Commercial Research and Marketing departments including project overviews, distribution plans and campaign performance. Work with Commercial Marketing Managers on audience segmentation and campaign targeting where needed. Carry out competitor research and give insight into marketing trends. Manage and track budgets for Commercial Research markets outputs where needed. Key Skills Who you are is more important than where you have previously worked you don't need a background in property (but you should be interested in the industry). This is a hands-on role and requires somebody who is willing to support the Commercial Research team with multiple projects and deliverables at once. We are looking for somebody with a can-do' attitude, an appreciation of high quality deliverables and a structured way of working to keep on top of multiple requests. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Building strong working relationships across the business and with marketing colleagues will be crucial for success in the role. Technical Experience Knowledge and experience of using the full Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams. A qualification in marketing is desirable, but not necessary. Skills and Knowledge 1-2 years' experience in a full-time marketing role or equivalent role and an understanding of marketing as a discipline. Experience across the marketing mix, including traditional and digital channels. Professional and mature working attitude. Strong project management and communication skills. An excellent eye for detail and good proof-reading skills. Highly organised with the ability to use own initiative to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Prioritisation and delegation are key to manage multiple content outputs at once. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Able to prepare reporting information in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies where appropriate across the group. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player. Willing to put forward and advance new ideas to improve our marketing approaches. Commercially astute with an interest in business and the property markets.
