We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join a dynamic team within a highly successful and fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD and CAM, with proficiency in CNC programming. This role involves liaising with toolmakers, managing processes, tools, and trials, and overseeing operations related to moulding, trim, and assembly. Previous experience with plastic components is highly desirable. Project Engineer main duties: Utilize CAD and CAM software to design and develop engineering solutions. Proficiently program CNC machines to ensure precision and efficiency in manufacturing processes. Collaborate with toolmakers to optimize tooling designs and functionality. Manage and oversee processes, tools, and trials to ensure quality standards and project timelines are met. Provide technical expertise and support for moulding, trim, and assembly operations. Troubleshoot and resolve any engineering or production issues as they arise. Project Engineer desired skills and experience: Proven experience working with CAD and CAM software. Proficiency in CNC programming. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in moulding, trim, and assembly processes is preferred. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cost Estimator. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our sales process by handling incoming enquiries from new customers, estimating costs based on their orders, and ensuring seamless communication between various departments to deliver accurate and timely quotes. The primary focus of this role is to increase conversion rates with customers from initial enquiry through to final delivery. Cost Estimator main duties: Handle incoming enquiries from new customers and gather necessary information to prepare cost estimates. Analyse customer orders and specifications to determine material and labor costs. Liaise with the purchasing department to confirm part specifications, process time, and client requirements. Prepare and submit detailed and accurate quotes to customers in a timely manner. Keep customers informed and updated on the status of their enquiries and orders. Follow up with customers to address any questions or concerns and provide support throughout the sales process. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of orders and timely delivery. Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and increase conversion rates. Cost Estimator desired skills and experience: Proven experience in cost estimation, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials is preferred. Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
