Production Executive 27-30k Greenford Are you numerate and analytical with a strong eye for detail? Do you have a degree in Engineering (or similar) or have you got experience from a manufacturing environment and are now looking for a career change? My client a long-standing manufacturing business based in West London are now seeking a bright and conscientious person to join their busy production team. As a Production Executive your main duties will be to provide both technical and administrative support to facilitate daily operations. You will work closely with the Production manager who will give you training and insight into this smashing position. This position is an important one that will also involve implementing continual lean improvements. Prospects for career advancement are excellent! The position is based in the office Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm, has free parking, 22 days holiday and rising. Key Responsibilities Distribute new training materials and updates. Maintain records of production staff training. Run the Quality Check Process throughout the shift. Manage manufacturing returns, inspect products, identify issues, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve them. Document manufacturing rejects, analyse trends, and work on reducing rejects. Cover scheduling and updates in the Scheduler's absence. Assist in preparing work orders as needed. Collect and present daily production data to the Production Manager. Create weekly, monthly, and annual production summaries. Publish Weekly Manufacturing Updates Summary on the Factory Display Screen Track raw material stock levels and manage deliveries daily. Keep the system updated with real-time information on work orders and sales orders. Place orders for raw material deliveries. Manage factory consumables, including quality and stock levels. Source and negotiate replacement parts from suppliers. Manage the spare parts inventory and remove obsolete items in collaboration with the maintenance engineer. Record maintenance expenses, identify improvements, and address issues. Conduct monthly internal audits of the recycling system to ensure criteria are met Provide support for trials with new materials. Participate in projects to review and enhance the quality and competitiveness of suppliers. Key attributes required Either relevant production/engineering experience or else a practical nature and a keen interest in manufacturing processes and ways to achieve continuous improvements. You will be eager to learn and to be an integral part of improving the efficiency, productivity and safety of the manufacturing department. You will have a high level of analytic and numerical ability including all standard PC software skills. Whilst you will be able and confident to interact across departments at all levels, you shall be able to work on your own initiative with strong organisational and time management skills. Keen to get involved in the nitty-gritty of daily work, you will be capable of dealing with a range of unexpected problems from order scheduling & engineering faults to staffing problems. You will also recognise the great beneficial effect of attention to detail and cumulative small improvements. My client a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Production Manufacturing Technician based in Kent where you will be working in a GMP clean room manufacturing environment making drug products / compounding as allocated on the production planning system to cGMP, current pharmaceutical regulations, whilst adhering to EH&S requirements. The hours of work are weekly rotation shift: Monday to Friday 6.00 am - 2.00 pm 1 week and then / Late: 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm for 1 week and then back to the early shift Day to day duties include: To routinely operate process equipment and execute manufacturing instructions to produce high quality drug products. To ensure safe, compliant, smooth and efficient execution of your assigned responsibilities in accordance with your training. To maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within all GMP areas. Support day to day trouble shooting, identifying and progress improvement activities within the bounds of GMP. To work as a flexible, motivated member responding positively to changes in demand and priority. To actively participate in continuous improvement activities, initiating ideas and taking ownership for actions. This is a 6 months contract based in Kent which will be reviewed for a possible extension or go permanent but this is all dependent on the candidate and business performance.
