They are currently looking for a Manufacturing Manager to manage the team, implementing best practice, continuous improvement and modern manufacturing practices. Manufacturing Manager Roles and Responsibilities: Manage the team's daily tasks, establish standard policies and procedures. Empower Shift Supervisors to execute the production plan efficiently, guiding them in running their teams, completing work orders, and balance product lines Identify opportunities for business improvements e.g., LEAN Manufacturing Meet daily with your teams, using 'Plan, Do, Check, Act' to check progress and resolve issues quickly. Using KPI's to make strategic decisions Understand how Safety Stocks are calculated and work with the BU Leader to update these monthly - ensuring the right balance is found between customer service and inventory optimization Support continuous development, trouble shooting, attending meetings and writing reports as needed Manage, coach and develop a high performing manufacturing team ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Understand the challenges posed to Setters, Maintenance Engineers, Operators, Quality and Warehouse staff Communicate and provide feedback. Listen, motivate, and inspire. Focus on employee development and recognise their individual strengths and weaknesses The ideal Manufacturing Manager will: Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience - preferably Sage X3 Working Hours Benefits: Negotiable salary depending on experience plus production bonus (around £6k per year) paid monthly Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (42.5 hours) 25 days annual leave Employer matched pension scheme at 6% Critical Illness Cover and Group Income Protection. Our client is looking for an ambitious and driven Production Manager with excellent communication, analytical, planning, and organisational skills. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for a small team of Production Operatives within a busy technical manufacturing environment.
