Position Overview: As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be a crucial part of the team, ensuring the highest standards of safety in the food manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, promoting a safety-first culture, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the unique challenges of a food manufacturing environment. Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections of production processes, machinery, and facilities to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with production teams to promote and enforce safe work practices and procedures. Provide comprehensive training on safety protocols, hygiene practices, and equipment operation for all employees. Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures. Maintain accurate records of safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Stay current with industry-specific regulations and best practices to continuously enhance safety programs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Food Science, or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager in food manufacturing. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards specific to the food industry. Strong understanding of food processing equipment and production line safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
