Toxicology is a multidisciplinary field involving the detection and interpretation of drugs and toxic compounds in biological samples. Our client is looking for an experienced Toxicologist or Analytical Chemist to join their team as a Technical Lead and provide expertise in instrumentation, method development and industry advancements. You will spend around a third of your time completing Road Traffic Casework, reporting and peer reviewing a range of cases. The majority of your time will be spread across a number of key accountabilities; authoring Quick Reference Guides and SOP's, maintaining caseworks for all instrumentation and developing methods in collaboration with lab scientist's and attending conferences to keep up to date with relevant research/best practices as part of the continuous improvement of the companies' services. The ideal candidate will have: Extensive experience utilising LC-MS & GC-MS to analyse a variety of samples (Ideally biological) Experience with method development Experience with technical supervision, writing SOP's and training & mentoring staff members This role is open to Technical Specialist or experienced analytical chemists from a variety of application areas.
