A Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Electronics Manufacturing is needed by a growing Teesside based company Deliver all elements of Manufacturing Engineering through the New Product Introduction process in line with company and product quality standards, including ISO 9001. Deliver robust designs and processes to the Manufacturing team, ensuring estimated product yield, quality and labour times are achievable. Work as part of a cross functional design team, champion and execute design for manufacturing from initial design concept through to product release. Engage and encourage the use of continuous improvement tools and champion lean manufacturing throughout the Operations team. Bring a proactive and process driven approach to identifying areas of improvement in processes with regards to quality, cost and days to manufacture. Specify and procure new equipment in line with the demands of new products and manufacturing processes. Contribute to resource estimates for new projects. Manage time effectively across multiple NPI projects and clearly communicate progress against plan to the wider team. Design and input manufacturing routings using the MRP system. Develop detailed and accurate work instructions in CAD and written documents. The successful candidate will be degree qualified and have 2 years experience as a Manufacturing / Production Engineer within an Electronics or Electrical Manufacturing environment.
