- Growing SME - Hybrid working (2 days in office) - Profit Share Management Accountant - Oldham - £45-55k DOE Exciting opportunity for Management Accountant with Manufacturing sector experience. In line with a period of strong financial growth, Medlock Partners is supporting with the recruitment of a newly created role for an experienced Management Accountant with previous experience in the Manufacturing Sector. This successful Manufacturing business is embarking on its next period of growth, and this individual will play an integral part in that journey. Through timely production of management information and robust financial controls, you will provide accurate information and analysis to senior management to guide decision making. Your reporting and commercial acumen will support the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet business objectives. The role requires a solid team player, able to communicate effectively with all departments and at all levels, a team player that can work with internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements and deliver cost savings and increased profitability. Responsibilities: Monthly Management accounts submission and reporting. Produce timely and accurate management / audited accounts to strict deadlines. Produce accurate short-range forecasts Provide commentary and understanding on variances and their drivers Budgeting and Forecasting Preparation of full budget pack and periodic forecasts as required, including sensitivity analysis to allow review of key drivers and assumptions. Monitor and report expenditure of all departments, providing financial support to all cost centre managers. Cash flow forecasting and modelling to manage payments and review business scenarios. Commercial / Estimating To be involved in all financial aspects of our commercial proposals and make recommendations based on the costs and revenues associated with supply to our customer portfolio. To maintain the accuracy and integrity of the costs of manufacture and supply within the estimating system. To effectively oversee the current process controls and to maintain account margin throughout the lifecycle of supply for both contracted and non-contracted customers. To improve accuracy and quality within the sales/estimating proposal process by providing ongoing reviews of both the incoming enquiries and outgoing customer sales proposals and contracts. To improve and oversee the sales procedure by reviewing and developing process flows that will deliver the activity required to enhance long term customer margin. To develop and maintain a robust management of all systems and processes associated with our technical services team Ensure that decision makers in the business understand the financial implications of their actions and potential projects. Recommend and evaluate opportunities to reduce costs across the business. Cash Requirements and Cash Availability Credit approval of all potential new customers and credit limit monitoring for live customers. Regular review and report on uninsured risks. Financial appraisal of capital projects to support review and decision making. Measurement and monitoring of actual compared to plan once implemented. Manage our day-to-day requirements with external funders, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of both timelines and responsibilities. Tight management and control of our cash flow forecasting. Auditing Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth audit of company accounts Coordinate preparation and act as the main point of contact to feedback to auditors The successful candidate may be Qual/Finalist/QBE and will have exposure within a Manufacturing environment.
