This role involves conducting pre-planned maintenance on professional machines across the area. Brief Description of Role: As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, the main responsibility is to support field engineers and customers by conducting pre-planned maintenance of machines. This includes fitting specific parts as defined by the service interval and schedule, conducting checks on specified components, descaling boilers and associated pipework, replacing water filters, and maintaining correct calibration of equipment. The role also involves managing spare parts stock holding in the service van. Key Responsibilities: Perform pre-planned maintenance work on machines according to the manufacturer's schedule. Work with the customer's nominated boiler inspector Pay attention to components such as valves and associated parts to prevent faults during or after maintenance. Ensure correct calibration of equipment to maintain quality and meet customer standards. Replace water filters based on water hardness tests and machine data. Manage spare parts stock holding in the service van and ensure timely replenishment through regular system checks. Complete service reports accurately, detailing work conducted and spare parts used. Provide operator training on the operation and cleaning of equipment. Share best practices and knowledge with colleagues and senior engineers. Report any faults not part of the pre-planned maintenance service immediately to the senior engineer. Requirements: Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Willingness to learn how to use a multimeter and basic electrical wiring/testing skills. Understanding of electronics and circuitry would be advantageous. Good organizational and critical thinking skills. Initiative, motivation, and focus to work independently. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
