Workshop Fitter £Negotiable depending on experience / Full or Part Time A permanent position for a workshop fitter due to our client being busy with a strong and constant work flow and an employee retiring. The company is a small and very friendly engineering company based in Ellington, Huntingdon. The hours of work for the Workshop Fitter can be either full time or part time, the company are very flexible. Full time hours would be 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday 45 hours. Part Time could be shorter days or a shorter week. The duties for the Workshop Fitter Stripping , identifying problems, rebuilding and testing of cylinders. A good understanding of tools, being hands on. Any previous experience in Hydraulics and welding mig or tig would be an advantage. Regular social and team events The role As part of our small and highly skilled manufacturing team you will be required to program, set and operate a range of CNC Lathes in order to manufacture high quality, precision machined components. Activities Machining precision components from a range of raw materials to the exacting standards of the engineering drawing. Ensuring the components are manufactured utilising the relevant measuring equipment and in-line with the individual component Inspection Schedule. Programming, setting and operating a range of CNC lathes with Haas / Fanuc based CNC control or DMGMORI's own CELOS (Siemens based) control. Including chucking and barfed machines with live tooling and Y axis capability. Following the company's Quality Management and Health and Safety procedures Ensuring quality, timely manufacture The person Completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship You will have experience within a precision engineering environment You must be able to read and understand an engineering drawing and use all relevant measurement equipment Experience with live tooling would be an advantage.
