We have an exciting opportunity within a prestigious company as a Stock Manager, to be based in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire. Key Purpose of the Role: They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Stock Manager who will be wholly responsible for maintaining and managing their valuable stock; they will play a critical role in the effective management and optimisation of their inventory. This role demands a versatile skill set, encompassing leadership, problem-solving, data analysis, organisation, and keen attention to detail. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management - from tracking and auditing to maintenance and team leadership. A key part of this role will be to analyse, data such as sales figures, forecasting stock needs and reporting as appropriate to the Head of Operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintaining an accurate inventory database that includes detailed information on available stock both physically and electronically within our ERP system Priority. Conducting timely and accurate stock counts; managing both weekly spot checks and annual stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. Conducting audit trail checks of stock to ensure accuracy of data input into Priority Preparing reports and advising management on strategies to reduce cost and improve procedures. Verify and reviewing safety stock requirements. Stock Manager JD Work regularly through stock profile to reduce overstock/slow moving stock. Working closely with Sales, Procurement, Service Centre, Assembly, Logistics and other relevant departments to organise the efficient flow of inventory. Arranging stock transfers and creating up-to-date and accurate records within Priority Managing replenishment of component stock within assembly and watchmaking departments, assisting when required. Managing the kitting of Works Orders, assisting when required. Managing the picking of Service Calls, assisting when required. Ensuring the stock is stored safely and securely and work areas are kept clean and tidy. Ensuring that staff follow relevant health and safety regulations. Coach, motivate and develop team to achieve a high standard of work: conduct reviews, guide and delegate daily workload to the stock team Budget Responsibility: The role will be responsible for a variety of inventory including high value stock. Part of this role will include the management of safety stock levels in line with forecast demands and sales figures. Key Responsibilities: Incoming goods receiving Outgoing goods packing and shipping, ensuring efficiency and compliance Internal company goods transfers (global stores and offices) Inventory control and storage accuracy Boutique inventory replenishment People: Direct management of 6 reports in the Logistics Team Recruitment, retention, and training of team members to always ensure suitable cover to complete all operational activity, whilst leading by example and ensuring work is completed to the highest of standards Training matrix for direct reports for all operational processes Development of team members to improve performance in-role / across the business Resource planning to meet operational workflow Process: Ensure documented process exist for each functional process within business area to ensure business continuity Create, review, and develop existing systemic business processes for work area Review & value map existing business workflow to drive operational process improvements - document & track improvements Inventory management through ERP system Performance: Continuous Improvement activity to identify operational efficiencies, track & monitor performance of changes Review, report and develop existing KPI performance metrics for business area - action plan to drive improvements Ownership of Inventory management through team, auditing performance & ensuring ERP is accurately maintained Investigation and resolving service failures, through Corrective Action Reporting process Cost: Control of service costs for business area e.g. Logistics Spend with couriers, packaging materials spend Resource budget for business area, ensuring cost is controlled in line with budget level Person Specification: Significant experience within a similar level of role Excellent understanding of domestic and international shipping processes Ability to use Microsoft office - outlook, word and excel at a high level. Strong experience of stock management using ERP systems (we use Priority so experience of this system would be an advantage) Excellent organisational skills.
