Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Multi skilled Engineers handle preventive and general maintenance tasks promptly, adhering to manufacturer guidelines. They maintain updated records. Responsible for unscheduled and emergency maintenance, they conduct fault finding and repairs safely and swiftly. They perform root cause analysis, communicate immediate and long-term solutions to prevent recurrence, and provide accurate shift log reports. Description Working a 24/7, Panama shift pattern whilst portraying best endeavour to respond to call outs and availability for potential overtime as required in line with the remit of the post. Liaise with and support the Engineering Manager, Operators, and Team Leaders to ensure the maintenance of all assets and good inter-department relations and communications. To be a key member during department and business audits and ensure the Engineering department comply with any recommendations. Be proactive in predicting, detecting, reporting, and diagnosing potential and existing software, electrical and mechanical problems on all equipment to identify issues and faults, solve problems, and increase the reliability, availability, and utilisation of the plant. Maintain factory services in excellent order, utilise 5S system, and ensure housekeeping is kept to the highest standard in all areas of responsibility for the Engineering Dept. Profile The successful Multi Skilled Engineer will be a qualified Engineer with demonstrable experience in repairing and improving Manufacturing Machinery. They will possess a range of the following: Conscientious, motivated individual with an enquiring mind, who can contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering function. Possess a recognised electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification to HNC/HND Level or equivalent level of qualifications and/or experience. AND/ OR Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Proven pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical knowledge including PLCs, three phase, inverters, control panels, sensors. Knowledge of CMMS software or alternatives. Experience in writing SOPs/Method statements and conducting formal Risk Assessments. Desirable - IOSH/NEBOSH Qualifications Desirable - Experience of Fault-Finding PLC Systems knowledge Job Offer A competitive salary ranging between £43,000 to £53,000 per annum.
