We are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager in London. Pay rate: £600-£650 per day. Contract duration: Temporary ongoing. Duties: Establish and maintain the assigned project(s) in line with the Business case and other relevant documentation. Plan the delivery of products using the Digital, Data and Technology Project Lifecycle processes and approaches, and prepare the relevant project documents at each stage, in conjunction with the Programme Delivery Manager. Take responsibility for the day to day management of assigned projects, ensuring that Execview (the strategic project reporting tool) is updated weekly and in line with the monthly Project reporting cycle. Production and maintenance of comprehensive Microsoft Project (MSP) plan for the project, including managing deviations to ensure the project remains on track as far as possible. Monitor and manage overall progress against the project plan and report progress & exceptions via the Project Board and other senior management groups via the Programme Management Office (PMO), as required. Liaise with stakeholders and business lead to ensure business priorities are fully understood and applied to the management of the project. Take responsibility for the project RAID management, taking mitigating actions where appropriate, including ensuring that the RAID log is maintained in a timely fashion and to the required quality. Management of the project finances to ensure the project remains within budget throughout, including production of monthly finance updates to the Programme Delivery Manager and PMO. Ensure that the project is resourced with staff with the appropriate skills and experience. Manage all resources allocated to the project, including technical architects, business analysts and testing staff. Work collaboratively with the business to ensure that business change activities are scoped and agreed with the business and advise on implementation plans, and alignment with the MSP is maintained. Carry out stakeholder analysis to facilitate good communications and business change planning. Managing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products that meet the needs of the client. Use Agile tools, such as daily stand ups, sprint scope documentation, points estimation and burn down charts. Ensure the delivery of new capabilities (products, services, policy, processes, etc.) by the project meets specified time, cost and quality criteria. Take appropriate action where necessary to ensure activities are kept on track. Ensure that interdependencies within the same and other projects/programmes are proactively identified and managed. Knowledge and Experience: Sound technical understanding of the ICT systems and technologies used in large organisations, preferably within a policing environment; familiar with technologies and terminologies used e.g. VM Ware etc. Experience in managing complex projects, within a dynamic environment, using formal methodologies. Experienced in design, build and roll out of hardware in secure datacentres. Have delivered business change, technology and infrastructure projects in a complex environment. Have Managed 3rd party hardware and software developments, including management of 3rd party contracts. Knowledge of risk management and assessment. Financial planning and benefits realisation.
